The boughs of winter fell over the river
and she’s waking up to a whole house full
The bows and boxes are stacked in the corner
though it’s not as many as it was a long time ago

My sister’s calling, not for the first time
She says the weather’s breaking by this afternoon
So gather up now let’s hit the highway
But did I lose something, something in the fold?

The spirit of Christmas was listening to our call
